Must-see: the walk and not only, you can also do a biketour on the Renaissance Wallsnice walk on the Renaissance walls from Porta San Tomaso to Porta Santi Quaranta.

Treviso always was protected by defensive walls. The city had three walls over time, the Roman, the Medieval and the Renaissance ones. The first two walls were destroyed and cannot be seen anymore, except for some archaeological finds. Despite that, you can still retrace the route of the ancient walls, so that you can have an idea of how the city developed over the centuries. The starting points are the Roman streets, the cardo and decumanus, which are still the two main streets in Treviso.
The Renaissance walls are well preserved; the inhabitants of Treviso love having a nice walk on the walls and its embankment, on which also music festivals take place.
Our guided tour will retrace the Roman and Medieval walls route, you will walk along the Renaissance walls and visit one of the historical entrances to the city. If you want to have a taste of the Trevisians’ way of life, you can enjoy a walk through the big city market, which is held on every Tuesday and Saturday near Porta San Tomaso. Near Porta Santi Quaranta, you can find a nice antiques market every fourth Sunday of the month.
